Thank You to Our Radiology Team for Their Dedication to a Seamless Patient Experience

Like many hospitals across the country, Boyd Healthcare is feeling the effects of a growing challenge: a national shortage of both radiologists and radiologic technologists. This workforce gap is creating delays in imaging report turnaround times and is putting added pressure on care teams everywhere. It’s a difficult situation—but one that our Radiology Department has met with professionalism, commitment, and incredible teamwork.

In recent weeks, we experienced a major shift in our radiology services. The longtime radiologist group that has supported our hospital made the difficult decision to dissolve their organization. That group, Clinical Radiologists, completed their final reads for Boyd on Thursday, July 31st. On that same day, we successfully transitioned to a new radiology partner: Quincy Medical Group (QMG). This seamless switchover was no small task—and it would not have been possible without the strong leadership of our Director of Radiology, Brandi Martin.

Brandi has been instrumental in guiding our department through this transition, navigating staffing shortages, service changes, and provider onboarding—all while keeping patient safety and quality at the forefront. Her dedication to our hospital, our patients, and her team has not gone unnoticed. Brandi has consistently gone above and beyond doing whatever it takes to keep things moving forward during a time of major change.

To our entire Radiology team: thank you. Your resilience, adaptability, and continued focus on providing excellent care are what keep Boyd strong. You’ve handled a heavy workload, shifting priorities, and new workflows with professionalism and grace. We know it hasn’t been easy—and we are so grateful for the way you continue to serve our patients and support one another.

As we look ahead, we are actively working to build a stronger radiology infrastructure with QMG and to address the ongoing workforce shortages facing our industry. We remain committed to providing timely, high-quality imaging services to our patients and will continue to evaluate and adjust our services as needed.
