Brighter Connections
Brighter Brains. Brighter Families. Brighter Futures.
Brighter Connections is a specialized program at Boyd Memorial Hospital designed to help children with neurodevelopmental challenges thrive—in school, at home, and in everyday life. Using a non-medical, brain-based approach, we address the root causes of developmental struggles by improving brain symmetry and increasing functional connectivity between the hemispheres of the brain.
Our mission is simple: to give families hope and real, lasting solutions.
What We Do
Brighter Connections uses the evidence-based Melillo Method, developed by Dr. Robert Melillo, a pioneer in childhood neurodevelopment. This method targets functional disconnection in the brain through a combination of sensory-motor exercises, cognitive activities, and hemispheric stimulation.

Each child receives a personalized plan designed to:
-
Strengthen brain connectivity
-
Improve coordination and body awareness
-
Enhance focus, attention, and emotional regulation
-
Support academic, social, and behavioral development
We work alongside families, giving them tools and confidence to support their child’s journey beyond our walls.
Brighter Connections supports children experiencing a variety of challenges, including:
ADHD
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Learning Disabilities
Sensory Processing Difficulties
Developmental Delays
We welcome children with both diagnosed conditions and those whose families simply feel something is "off" or "not clicking."

Non-Medical Approach
We don’t treat with medication. Instead, we help the brain function better naturally.

Root Cause Focused
Instead of managing symptoms, we work bring symmetry to the brain and restore functional connectivity.

Family-Centered
Parents are part of the process and are equipped with tools to support their child at home.

Hope-Driven
Many families come to us after trying everything else. We provide a new path forward.
