The Affordable Care Act requires hospitals to post all charges for services in order to help patients understand their potential financial responsibility and compare costs for similar services across hospitals.

At Boyd Memorial Hospital, we are committed to transparency and want our patients to have access to information about our inpatient and outpatient service charges.

The chargemaster is not designed to help patients estimate their final bill or compare costs between hospitals effectively.

 

Your actual out-of-pocket expenses will vary based on:

• The specific care and services you receive

• Your insurance coverage

• Any financial assistance you may be eligible for

 

In some cases, you may also receive separate bills from independently contracted physicians or other healthcare professionals involved in your care.
